Underwater landscapes sometimes remind me of gardens. With a variety of intricately curved corals instead of trees, in the dense branches of which fish sit, not birds.
Sometimes these are small gardens - oases of life that seem to have grown in the middle of the desert in the sand.
Sometimes, on the contrary, they spread to the very horizon and go further, beyond the limits of visibility, and it seems that you can swim above them infinitely and watch how colors appear under the light of a flashlight.
Sometimes these underwater gardens are filled with life, dozens of different fish, big and small, that don't pay too much attention to us and live on their own.
And sometimes they seem deserted and uninhabited - but, as in the gardens above, we simply do not notice some living organisms that are very small or try to hide well from all prying eyes. And it is always extremely pleasant and interesting for me to look at these underwater gardens. And for you?
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.
OLYMPUS E-M5 Mark II
You can also see my photos in my blog LJ and in my profile on NatGeo. You can read a short interview with me here.
Wow these are awesome pictures from your dive. I was just going to ask what type of camera and you put it in the post. You must have a nice underwater housing unit for it. Great shots! Excited to see more.
Thank you, Sara! Of course, there will be more underwater photos - it was not for nothing that I went diving in December :)
Oh, and thanks to you asking about the camera, I noticed a mistake in this post. Usually (above the water :)) I shoot with Olympus E-M1 Mark II, but underwater I shoot with another camera - Olympus E-M5 Mark II. Since a good underwater case for the camera costs about the same as the camera itself, we chose to purchase a case for a cheaper camera, which @kibela usually uses, and I take photos underwater with it.
Great beauty 😍😍😍
Another world :) Thank you!
Oh wow this is so beautiful, how did you manage to photography under water?
Yes, the underwater world is beautiful :)
For all or almost all modern cameras, there are underwater cases that are designed for different dive depths (some examples). They are watertight, while providing access to the buttons and levers of the camera inside. Controlling the camera, of course, is not as convenient as without case, but all functions are available. Except changing the lens :)
Awesome underwater world!
Oh yeah! It's worth the effort to capture it. Thanks :)
Wow these are awesome😍
Thanks! The underwater world is amazing :)
This is amazing!
Clearwater and colorful corals, I also love the coral hind spotted on the first photo
Yes, clear water is very important for photography, and just diving in such water is very pleasant. Glad you liked it, thanks!
