📷 Patterned Pamir Mountains

Today I want to share with you a selection of photos taken in the Pamir Mountains, near Lake Bulunkul, Tajikistan. This is a highland area, as is most of the country. Specifically there, in the area of the lake, the altitude is over 3700 m above sea level, and around there are views of even higher mountains from all directions, wherever you look.

There is a small mountain valley there where yaks graze and a very small number of people live. After driving through the surrounding gorges, this wide flat area seems very spacious, and the mountains seem to part to give a greater sense of freedom, but still surround you from all sides, inviting us to admire them.

So - I admire The view with joy and a sinking heart. I've always loved mountains :)

The mountain slopes here are absolutely wonderful. They have different textures, sometimes rocky, sometimes soft scree...

... different colors, the shades of which flow into each other in layers. I especially liked it here.

But the more traditional, high snow-capped peaks of the severe mountains further do not let us forget about them.

However, my eye and camera were most often attracted to these nearby, relatively low mountains with stunning color stains on their slopes.

It seems that there I could also take semi-abstract photographs if I remove the sky from the frame and take more close photos :)

But still, the sky and the earth in the picture make these landscapes more real, more tangible, right?

Lately I have sometimes thought about repeating that trip to Tajikistan, seeing these places again and, of course, exploring new ones.

I hope the mountains will be happy to see me - after all, I always look forward to meeting them :)

It's better to watch the photos in high resolution.
