People often need to get from point A to point B. In different ways: by car, train, plane or even helicopter. Each of the ways has its own advantages and its own charm: when driving a car, we are mobile and decide for ourselves where to stop or where to turn β if there is a road there. On the train, we usually go faster, while we have the opportunity to relax and do our own business and look out the window at the landscapes quickly passing by.
By plane, as a rule, we get to the final destination the fastest and can periodically look at the land from above: everything is as small as a toy, it's very interesting. And in a helicopter...
At some point in a helicopter flight, you understand: although you are not in control of the situation (if you are not a pilot or a very rich customer of private flights), you get the opportunity to see from above, but also close enough places where a car cannot pass, the train will not arrive, the plane will not land: there are no roads and no airports. Wild, not too necessary for people and therefore almost untouched by us lands β and how good it is that they still remain! The Chersky Range, to which these mountains and foothills belong, is the least explored and mapped later than all the other large geographical objects in Russia.
When flying along any route, it is worth keeping our eyes open and turning your head from side to side. Well, and take some pictures β so that later we can better remember what we saw. And sometimes the views are just amazing!
And this opportunity to see well, for example, such gloomy, hard-to-reach, but very beautiful valleys and mountains, meanders of rivers and multi-colored rocks and land β it is worth a lot, it will not work out on any other kind of transport. That's why I liked flying in a helicopter so much :)
The communication between the small settlements of the Momsky district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), where these pictures were taken, is only by air in summer, mainly by helicopter (small planes can land only in the regional center) and a little by water. In winter, in these mountains and foothills, it becomes possible to drive along the winter road, but not by every car. Tourists in the area sometimes come, but very few and mostly in other places. The largest number of people, in addition to a few local residents, appear here, I think, in winter, during the work of the winter road.
Now I look at these photos and seem to be transported into some kind of fairy-tale world. A little harsh and gloomy, but attractive. Such places awaken my imagination and make me dream. Do you have this feeling?
It's better to watch the photos in high resolution.
