Appreciate your life and give thanks for every new day

Today I went with my wife to buy myself some pants and some kind of shirt because I have to go to the celebration of my godfather's first communion in Zagreb, which is 325 km from my place.
My wife wanted to go with me because she was also going to buy a dress.
Unfortunately, she didn't manage to find anything for herself in those few stores, because she is a little short, she wears an xs, and she wanted a color that would match her shoes and purse.
Meanwhile, I easily put on trousers and a formal light blue shirt with rolled up sleeves.
When we were coming back, I managed to stop on the bridge because there was no one behind me and take a few pictures.

What you see as some floats on the sea are the breeding grounds for mussels, which are called mussels in our country and are a local specialty.
They are black in color and are best when made into a local dish called brudet.
This is done by first browning the garlic, parsley and olive oil mixed with a little sunflower and then adding the shells.
The shells are boiled until they open and then white wine is added, domestic if you have it, and then it is stirred, salt and pepper are added and left for a while until the wine boils down to half, and that's it.

Along with that dish, of course, you also drink white wine with mineral water, which in Croatia is called gemist.
And at the end, of course, when it comes to shell buzard, friends always get together and play local card games called "brislula" and "seta".

Cheers friends 🍷🍷
