Yesterday I went for a walk around the city. Quite strange weather. The thermometer showed 0, and given the wind, it felt like it was all minus 20. But the most interesting thing is that for the second day in a row I'm watching the magic of nature.
Everything around was covered with ice. Branches of trees and bushes, leaves, some berries, grass that is still preserved. Absolutely everything around me seems to be wearing an ice shell. This is an incredibly mesmerizing effect.
You just want to run and take pictures of absolutely every branch. But here you are stopped by the wind, which freezes your fingers and slows down the smartphone. That's why there are only a few interesting shots that I'm happy to share with you!
But the coolest thing is in the evening when this ice is illuminated by lanterns and coloured lights from the New Year's decorations of the city. It is a pity that in the evening I was surrounded only by tall trees and in most photos, I could not see this brilliance.
What about streets? It was a rink for cars?
Cars were more fortunate than pedestrians. Most of the roads were good for driving. But the sidewalks - no (
I can imagine the cold weather you mean, seen also in the ice clinging to the branches of the trees. But the photo looks cool, like water falling from a tree but it's frozen.
In fact, it's pretty weird weather. There was no big minus and I did not freeze on the street. The day I photographed it all outside was 0 degrees, but the ice was on the branches and trunks of the trees.
Even so, photos between the ice and the branches are top priority. :)
