This is a landscape photo, but it is not a view from the parking lot.
During summer 2022 I was able to see a place that was on my list for years- however the opportunity came during one of the hottest days of the year.
Regardless, I completed the incredibly steep hike to the campground with sheer determination. With no shade for hours, I found myself getting increasingly delirious and more tired than usual. Even with all precautions taken I somehow was able to make it with heat stroke.
I look back on this time fondly. Every time I go out there I learn something new, even if it's through the pain. It may sound crazy but I'm addicted to this feeling.
