Costa Rica is beautiful beyond imagining and I hope you feel a little of that here.

And now a moment to spend with a short poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson. I love it when poets or writers mange to condense of world of meaning and huge intention with just a handful of lines of well chosen words.. Here for me is a great example of that very thing. One of my absolute favourite poems from this exceptional man - American lecturer, poet, and essayist, the leading exponent of New England Transcendentalism and a celebrated philosopher(1803–82)

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty,
To find the best in others,
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
A garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.
