One thing I LOVE alot...
Is to look back at pictures from walks, travels, nature, family, fun etc.

Time to put them into my computer and free space on my Phone Mabye?
Y E S!!
This NEVER happens to YOU

ANYHOOO...
One thing that stood out and I really wanted to share before I put them into my computer, was my walk
by the Viking Fortress.
Such a Great place to walk, and see a
bit history as well π my favorite
things combined.
BUT FIRST...

History!
TRELLEBORGEN
Designates a certain type of
castle from the Viking Age.
It involves circular fortifications,
which were surrounded by a high, palisade rampart and an external moat.
The local castle was built around 980
on behalf of Sven Forkbeard, the
King of Denmark and SkΓ₯ne.
Because the raids of the Wends increased around the year 1000, the castle was abandoned and
left to decay.
After the subjugation of the Wends
the area was repopulated again in
the 13th century and the city of
Trelleborg was founded.
It is believed that at this time the ruins
of the old Viking fortress were still present and the naming of the city referred to the Trelleborgen.
During the Middle Ages the earth
walls was demolished and the
material was used to drain the surrounding wetlands.
The old moats of the castle served
as a garbage dump at that time.
In course of time the former castle
area has been overbuilt with houses.
During the archaeological excavations between 1988 and 1995 only parts
of the former castle grounds
could be examined.
Large parts of the castle are now covered inaccessible by houses
and streets.

THE WALK!
Let's go πΆββοΈπΆπΆββοΈ
This is the first view you see taken
from the parking place.
Here is a little bridge to cross that
goes over a canal.
Sorry about the angle but I thought
it was fun π
Beautiful view ey?
This canal leads to a little damn.
I want a Damn in my garden to π lol
Lots of noices from Frogs
Then I walked through and the yellow house has Caffè and a little shop!
Nice to sit and enjoy your coffe πβ
And NOW...
To my favorite part of this walk
This is where the magic starts π
The real walk towards the amazing Viking Fortress.
Another amazing bridge with a little
damn and Frog πΈ noices

First place you get to is a new attraction and still in construction...
A Viking village...
The shape of the house is really cool,
and I really like the low roof.
Mabye made for a smurf.....
Ohh like me short π
This house was really charming and
it's garden pretty cool to!
And this big runestone caught my attention, and I find it fascinating
as that kind of writing is unique!
And this BEAUTIFUL shed that
I would love to have myself π
I absolutely LOVE this!
Nothing like handmade things β€οΈ
γ°οΈπ°γ°οΈ
AND FINALLY...
I reached the viking castle place!
It's impressive and again the wood
is truly amazing!
And now we walk through the
entry to the other side.
And while passing through here,
you better be careful and look out
for this badass gate!
Donβt want that to fall down on ya π±
AND NOW....
We reached the other side
This view is AMAZING π
And now it's time to walk up the
stairs and look around π
Made some noise walking up the stairs, hoped it wouldn't crack π€ͺ
A cool place to look at the view π
And then my favorite Dubble wheels, really love old things and this was awsomeness π
A closer look..
The amazing construction and wood goes all the way around.
And you can walk along the Fortress all away around, really cool.
This is the view from up here π
And a look over the beautiful envirement around the Fortress π

Love the details and construction
on this house.
And the BIG cool sign that stands
outside the museum part.

Thank you very much ππ means alot.
Have a wonderful sunday. Cheers!
What a beautiful walk, I love the garden area most. I always love to explore such kind of gorgeous historical places but unfortunately here, in Kharkiv, we don't have any palace... Maybe I should check other cities to explore some forts or abandoned palaces...
Thank you sweety π€
Glad you liked it, and I agree the garden area is amazing.
Sorry you donβt have a place with history to visit where you live.
Not all places do and to see bigger ones here I have to drive for a while. It is worth it tho π
Hope you are having a wonderful sunday my friend.
Much love π€πΉβ€οΈ

With you

When I read about the frog's sound it reminded me once upon a time I slept by a lake in Italy and they almost didn't let me sleep :)
Awww... You saying they FROGGED you from sleeping? How dare they? π Hahahaha
Sorry... Couldn't help myself!
I know what you mean, I camped next to a lake to once.. and I had to listen to music to be able to not hear the πΈπΈπΈ
Glad you liked it my friend π€π€π€
Thanks for continuing to make Hive awesome.
WHAAT, this is really amazing. I am a fan of the Nordic culture, I love the Viking culture series, "Vikings and the last kingdom" are my favorites, the structure is identical to both series.
And the name Sven Forkbeard I also heard in those series, I really feel envy at this moment, I would like to visit one of these Viking fortress or city.
Wow.. Thank you very much π
Means alot, glad you liked it.
I know what you mean, I seen that serie to π a good one.
I love to visit places with history, and this sure is a favorite of mine.
I am sure you get to experience a Viking Fortress or city one Day ππ
You have any cool historical places where you live?
The truth is that if there are any here, there are cultural sites with very interesting stories. But nothing like a fortress of this style haha, I'm honest I never thought they still existed and were in such good condition.
Although in my city there are no places of this style, there are Spanish colonial architectures, something that dates back to the 1800s.
Thank you very much for your kind words π means alot.
And been approved by you and your puppy πΆ made my day π
Have a wonderful weekend, and I and my Bobby sends you and your puppy many cuddly Hugs π€π€π€
