It was a long week man. It started with horse meat sashimi and is ending with a million things left to do that will be slowly pushed off onto the next week.
One of the things I love about being in Japan are the holidays. They really love Christmas as well as their own version of New Year's. The spirit of celebrating, working hard and partying harder, still rings true here. It seems like back in California it's just work hard and work even harder. I was working on a post about the Christmas illumination here then some fuck drove a car through a crowd of people in a German Christmas market.
Lots of Christmas shopping done so that's a relief, especially since the bank account is blown. While Christmas is my favorite time of year, it's always financially the worst. It seems no matter how prepared I am, something will always suck my bank accounts dry around this time. Thank God for Kentucky & Christmas cakes.
Hope all is well over there. And Merry Christmas.
I read your post about the horse sashimi and had been talking about it around the table here already actually...never have tried it myself, but never say never. Was trying to imagine what part of the horse you were eating.
Merry Christmas from the Great white north!
I think it was the rump and/or the loin. It wasn't bad at all and not gamey in the slightest. I'm just not interested in eating a majestic animal again. So he invited me to go eat whale next time. Mother#&^I@!
lol, just can't win.
