The Alps on Lake Como

Hello everyone!

While traveling to Lake Como in northern Italy, I had the opportunity to visit several charming towns and admire beautiful views. The combination of a large lake and mountains makes for a wonderful landscape for a photographer. However, for the shots below, I decided to focus on the mountains themselves. Although the highest and most famous peaks of the Alps, such as Mont Blanc or the Matterhorn, are not here, they are still impressive, especially when seen in person.

Podczas podróży nad jezioro Como w północnych Włoszech miałem okazję zwiedzić kilka uroczych miejscowości oraz podziwiać piękne widoki. Połączenie dużego jeziora z górami to wspaniałe połączenie dla krajobrazu dla fotografa. Jednak w przypadku poniższych ujęć postanowiłem skupić się na samych górach. Chociaż nie ma tutaj tych najwyższych i najbardziej znanych szczytów Alp, takich jak Mont Blanc czy Matterhorn, to i tak robią one wrażenie, szczególnie oglądając je na żywo.

In the southern part of the lake the mountain peaks reach a height of up to 1,470 m above sea level, while in the northern part they reach up to 2,600 m above sea level.

W południowej części jeziora szczyty gór osiągają wysokość do 1470 m n.p.m., natomiast w części północnej do 2600 m n.p.m.

I shoot almost all my photos in RAW format, which I then edit and then save as JPG. This results in a better final result than shooting in JPG with the camera's default settings. For me, most of the photos in this post were difficult to edit because there was a significant difference between the sky and the mountains. The sky was nice and clear, while the mountains were almost entirely green and hazy.

Praktycznie wszystkie zdjęcia robię w formacie RAW, które później obrabiam i na koniec zapisuję w JPG. Dzięki temu końcowy efekt jest lepszy niż robienie zdjęć w JPG z ustawieniami twórców aparatu. Dla mnie większość zdjęć zamieszczonych w tym poście była trudna do obróbki, ponieważ była spora różnica między niebem a górami. Niebo było fajne czyste, góry natomiast były niemal całe zielone i zamglone.

During this trip I did not climb the mountain peaks visible in the photos, there was not much time for it and, above all, there was not enough strength and energy. I only tried to climb one of the lower peaks in Varenna, but I don't know if I even got halfway there.

Podczas tej wycieczki nie wspinałem się na szczyty gór widocznych na zdjęciach, nie było zbytnio na to czasu oraz przede wszystkim sił i energii. Próbowałem jedynie wejść na jeden z niższych szczytów w miejscowości Varenna, ale nie wiem czy doszedłem chociaż do połowy.
