RE: Summer Weekend in Leiden - Netherlands

Yes, in many cultures they are and one shouldn’t talk about such things. Luckily this mindset is changing and it is accepted now to share.

True, from where I belong, or my homeland, people actually never understood the meaning of mental health. Whenever someone is sad, people say Eat something or Everything is in your mind or You are just lazy...Before it was horrible, but like you said, slowly this mindset is changing...

I can imagine… starting a new life in a new place and culture is hard.

Yes, plus I always live in a dilemma and uncertainty...In the end, no matter what, I am a refugee...

Sometimes it is easy to fit in but sometimes it just isn’t. Due to many things…

Exactly...

Unfortunately mostly my visits are on the other side of the country. Would be nice to meet up one day. Maybe we can do half way.

Yes, I often notice the locations you were in, so I believe you never get the time to come to the middle of Holland...So definitely we can manage to find a city convenient for each other to meet. I am glad you always manage time to meet friends and family... I wish I could do that...

Yes, I heard that many times. One got used to just putting it all away. Trying not to think about it and going on like nothing is wrong. That alone will eat on a person. I know…
Luckily there is more information out there now and help we can refer to.

Yes and mostly my visits in the last years was to move or with a purpose and a strict time frame. I hope to go one day to The Netherlands for just a visit or holiday with enough time for longer visits and not just drive through it from north to south or the other way in one day. So I can make time to include some fun stuff. Like meeting you.

Not always I meet up with family but I truly try. My mother is already 91 years old… I hope to visit her more often especially now.
Have a lovely Friday
Take care!
