Good day all and sundry, where ever you are reading this from, I have lived in Lagos, Nigeria for many years and one thing that I have observed is that any slight drop off rain there will be traffic. Though traffic congestion is a common thing in some places like this place for instance and this is due to the traffic light at this junction. However, when rain falls it becomes worst. The heavier the rain the more the traffic congestion.
Traffic congestion in some certain places depends on the time of the day. This Ikate part of Lekki / Epe Express way is always congested in the morning between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM Mondays to Fridays this happens because most people going to work commute through that part of the road. On the other side of the road, the traffic starts between 5:00PM and 8:00PM sometimes till 9:00PM. Though the time is not exact, it is just a close range approximation.
Lagosians don't really like rain because of it always result to heavy traffic most of the times.
