Butterfly X Dragonfly Photography

A pleasant day Hive photographers! PegasusX is here to give you some of my captivating shots of insects that I captured so far.

As of my introduction post in @ocd, I live in a town province here in the Philippines, and as you all might not know our town is still classified as a rural area even though our town proper is modernizing bit by bit, our place is still surrounded by mountains, vastly wide ricefields and numerous trees.

November marks the rice harvesting season, bringing about a flurry of activity with dragonflies, grasshoppers, and butterflies gracefully fluttering around. Living next to a rice field provides me with the perfect chance to capture these incredible moments using my mobile phone camera.

DRAGONFLY SHOTS

Managed to capture this on my mobile phone camera - a red dragonfly sits on our washing line (where we hang our washed clothes to dry in the sun) and I started taking some pictures and this is the best one I've got. It gives more appeal to it due to the beautiful blue sky and white clouds background make this shot more wonderful.

This next shot is a little bit funnier to be honest because as I saw this dragonfly resting on the gumamela flower, I tipped toed towards it and felt like its gonna fly at any moment and I would miss the shot but fortunately, I managed to capture this in a burst mode exactly when it is literally going to fly and this is the only shot that is decent among the rest of this picture.

BUTTERFLY SHOTS

This shot is considered my most favorite and to say the best shot on my mobile photography so far.

As a lover of photography and not having the best types of equipment and just using my phone makes this shot is really wonderful to me. Aside from really not expecting to capture this shot and the angle of it makes me really happy that I can share this achievement with myself from all of you.

My favorite shot of this butterfly among my insect photography so far

Among the recent images, this is probably the hardest one that I really put an effort into capturing, after the butterfly flew away in the last photo that was resting in a red hibiscus flower, I didn't think that it would come back and give me another chance to capture its beauty but this time after it came back I had a hard time capturing it for it is always flying away now when I try to get near and take my shot.

If I remember it exactly, it took me 15 minutes back and forth with this butterfly flying and sitting into another flower or leaf but I didn't give up and in the end, I steadily sat in one place and it flew right next to the plant where I was sitting and had the chance took this shot.

Great efforts come with great rewards.
