Speaking Nature / Konuşan Doğa ( EN-TR)

Last week, I tried something completely different, something out of habit. I set off before dawn. I started walking through the forest at sunrise. As I walked, I listened to the sounds around me. They were like whispers of existence. The rustling leaves, like distant conversations, the birds preparing their morning symphony, and the strange sounds emanating from the earth beneath my feet whispered in my ear.

Nature is not merely the backdrop to our lives. Like a living, breathing force, it awaits you right there. This nature, which beautifies the world, heals us by adding meaning to our lives. Just think, every living thing, from the tallest trees to the smallest insects, plays an important role in nature with its existence. Especially trees. They are the pioneers who lead nature, sending their roots deep into the soil and paving the way for plants. They provide shelter for some, food for others, and shade in the sunlight for still others.

Doğa, hayatımızın sadece arka planı değil. Canlı, nefes alan bir güç gibi, sizi orada bekliyor. Dünyayı güzelleştiren bu doğa, hayatlarımıza anlam katarak bizi iyileştiriyor. Düşünün, en uzun ağaçlardan en küçük böceklere kadar her canlı, varlığıyla doğada önemli bir rol oynuyor. Özellikle ağaçlar. Onlar, köklerini toprağın derinliklerine göndererek bitkilerin yolunu açan, doğaya öncülük edenlerdir. Kimilerine barınak, kimilerine yiyecek, kimilerine de güneş ışığında gölge sağlarlar.

Rivers, carving their way through the rocks, flow on without delay. Their journey from the mountaintops to the sea is like a story of resilience. Thanks to the springs that are added to them, they form small valleys. With their power and strength, they nourish gardens and fields. At times, they reflect the sky like a mirror.

Kayaların arasından sıyrılarak kendine yol açan nehirler, onlar hiç beklemeden akıp gider. Dağın tepelerinden denize kadar uzanan yolculukları, sanki direncin bir hikayesi gibidir. Kendisine eklenen kaynaklar sayesinde küçük küçük vadiler oluşturur. Kudreti ve gücü ile bahçeleri, tarlaları besler. Yeri gelir, gökyüzünü bir ayna gibi yansıtır.

How beautiful is the scent of the earth we tread upon after the rain, on every journey we make. With each changing season, we see a different face of it. It carries the traces of past seasons. It holds seeds that nourish awakening, insects that silently feed the roots, and water that flows over it, its destination unseen.

Her gezimizde ayak bastığımız o toprağın, yağmurdan sonra çıkan kokusu ne de güzeldir. Her mevsim değiştiğinde farklı bir yüzünü görürüz. Geçmiş mevsimlerin izleri taşır. İçinde uyanmayı besleyen tohumlar, sessizce kökleri besleyen böcekler ve üstünden nereye gittiğini göremediğimiz akıp giden suları taşımaktadır.

And then we feel that wind, whose origin we cannot discern, caressing our bodies before fading away. It brings us the heat, the cold, and the scents of cities, forests, and distant lands, from across the seas, through the forests, across the deserts, to every open space it finds.
