The car coughed, as the temperature read 34C.

Oh yeah, a hot day, and in the car, it felt like the proverbial frog cooking slowly in a pot.

And so, it was a shade hunting day for us, in order to avoid the dangerous UV rays. I managed to take some photos of the light on the mountains, in order to show you the heat. We can jump from 23C the one day, straight up to 28C the next day. And at 28C, one can expect to climb into the 30Cs soon. But we are fortunate, as at that stage some areas far up north in the country, are already sitting in the +40Cs.
Africa is a very hot continent in summer, and the African sun is renowned for its blazing heat.
So, let me show you what a hot day looks like.

That brave tree has lost some limbs that were ripped apart by strong winds, and yet it stands proudly in defiance against the elements.

The thing about the strong winds here is that they can have a steady blow of 19km, but then the gusts can come through at 56kms. One can understand why so many ships were sunk here throughout the centuries, as the gusts normally come through unexpectedly and at high speeds.

Even the moon was bleak and pale in the sky.

The wind was dressing the mountains for supper with a cloudy tablecloth.

Finally, we popped in at a high spot to show you what the seafront looked like, and you can see the sun reflecting on some house roofs.

Ok yes, a pale day in the heat, but still beauty can be found. It is essential for one to stay hydrated on the hot days, by imbibing lots of liquids, as sun stroke is a debilitating condition. But, yes, I have to say that we love every day given to us, and in our hearts rest beauty and truth. So many cannot endure the truth for some guilty reason or another, and a few times now we have been accosted by anger for revealing the truth. If only all of us would understand that it's better to live in the light, than to wallow in darkness. We are no heroes, but rather frail ordinary human beings.
Think about this.

The sun began to set behind Bethlehem and the beams were breaking through some white and gray clouds. There was a slight and beautiful chill from the autumn air. I gave thanks for that beautiful day and for the fact that the sun does not know Palestinian from Israeli, Christian from Muslim or Jew, and Asian from American or African, and I asked myself: If the sun shines on all of us as one, how much more does the sun's Creator see and love us all as one? — Ted Dekker

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

It is cold here in our city now but this time it is not too cold and it is very hot even then in some areas it used to be only cold in the earlier days of our country.

So, I presume that you are happy that it's not too cold anymore. The whole earth is heating up at an alarming rate, and that is never good news.
