Here is Part 2 of the crows gathering.

Not for sensitive souls, as the damage to the victim is sad.

The victim (Harrier Hawk) tried to hide from the crows in this palm tree.

I did not know about the damage to the hawk, until I opened the downloaded photos onto my PC. But I will give you a hint, as in Part 1, I stated that the crows rip the eyes out of lambs on the farms, and let's see what happened here.

And here their positions were reversed.

So, the hawk landed to hide in the palm tree next to our house.

Here below we saw that something was not right with the hawk.

Can you see what was wrong with the hawk?
302.JPG

Yep, the hawk's left eye was gone. Terrible to see, but such is the way of birdlife. An eye for an eye, as the hawk eats their babies.

308.JPG

At least it still has the one eye to cope, but the danger is that it's one side is now blank, and it can easily be attacked from its blind side.

Finally the hawk took off and then he was gone.

Not a very nice post today, but in love and war, almost everyone loses. I think here about the current wars taking place and the danger to all of us, if there were to be another world war. Women and children are being killed and also the elderly. Young men are drafted in as soldiers, and quite often it ends their lives. I don't know what it is that is driving everyone crazy. They say that the USA is now entering into a recession, and the results are already being felt worldwide. Our South African ZAR has also tanked recently. So, in this case, it will be that everyone will lose, and that is not the way that life is supposed to be. But it is what it is, and this post reminds me that there will always be battles. Like I said, everyone will be losers.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I was quite sad by how the hawk loses its one eye, I hope that you'll do a continuation for this. I really like reading it @papilloncharity

Oh yes, we were also unhappy about it, and I got the juvenile of the hawk on camera today. Just a pity that I had to go out in the rain when I heard its call.

Thi looks to precious 😍

Reading your writing makes me addicted, so now I wonder what happens next. all the shots are also very beautiful.

Thank you, and what took place next is that I got the hawk's child on camera today.
I posted a picture of the youngster here in the post comments.

The crows have evicted the resident falcon from my koppie too: they are relentless

A sad story, but that's life my friend. Better that the falcon left before it was damaged. But not all birds are scared of them, as we took a crow to the vet, with its right leg bitten off.

Serious birdie - looks like a VIP. (!BEER and !PIZZA at your doors). 😎

The VIP now only has one eye left.
!BEER and !PIZZA on its way to you 😉

It's quite tough...
But well, that's the way of nature....

So true, and things will not be so easy for the bird anymore.
