I just cannot get enough of the mountains and the constant changes in the views.
We had an unexpected period of fairy rain earlier today and I just knew that some lovely sights were waiting for us.
Blue clouds were interchanged with grey rain clouds throughout the day and the sun used every opportunity to peep shyly through the gaps in the clouds. So at every sun peep I took some shots of the mountains.
It was a busy day at our usual spot, as a mountain bike tour was hosted by the farm over 3 days and the cyclists were all returning, so we stayed on the outside, grabbed the shots and then we scampered back here.

That yellow spot is a canola field.
I wanted to show you the horizontal silt layers that were responsible for the peak formations.
Now for a look below at our local mountain range in a bit of darker weather.
Cloudy days are seen by many as dreary days, but they need not be if one starts to realize that they offer wonderful photography opportunities. The harsh glare of a bright African sun becomes tamed by the clouds to only offer a warm colored gaze. Ideal for mountain photography, as it reveals the deeper colors that hide during the bright times.
