We weren't at the ocean, as the photos were taken from a high spot inland.
That is the beachfront above backed by the sunset on the mountains on the horizon.
This is why I love the zoom on my camera, as it can reach very far and wide. We sat at the same spot from where I took the photos about a boat on the dam recently, but this time it was a few days later.
I was about 6 kilometers away from the beach and I took the photos from the balcony of a shopping center. I shoot free hand and there is always coffee in reach of the hand that I don't use. Being ambidextrous, I can take photos with either hand, but a worrying thing is now that I am getting older, at times, I get the shakes. Thankfully not this time.
So, come and see what I have to share.
Note: I don't have photoshop or other editing programs, so what you see is what it was.
This one below was taken on the road towards the high spot.
Then we arrived, and a few birds wanted to get into the shot.
A lovely closeup.
Then the sun dropped behind the mountains.
Often, when the sun disappears it throws up colored rays in the clouds.
And that was it. All over and started to fade.
We didn't hang around, as supper was waiting. Not that we eat very big suppers, as our main meal of the day is at lunchtime. The shopping center where I take the photos has several restaurants with a wide balcony, and that's where I take the photos from. The staff are starting to get used to us, and soon they will start to bring me coffee before we order. We can only afford coffee there, but they don't mind as long as I show them my photos. Then it's an ooh and an aah. But they and us are friendly and there are no problems. We live in dangerous times and most people are security conscious, and a few times now some security guards came up to me as they view a man with a camera as persona non grata. But when I show them the photos on my camera, then they leave me alone. One guy said to me that I cannot take photos from the premises, and I showed him a cloud photo and asked him if the cloud belonged to the premises. If it did, I quipped, then they would have to buy him a helicopter so he can put a fence around the cloud:))
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Beautiful colors, an extraordinary view
Wow, beautiful photos!
I also like these views the most when it's sunrise or sunset.
