Arter | Istanbul Museum (Part 3)

Hello, friends! This is the third part about the Arter Museum of Modern Art, which is located in Istanbul, Turkey. In the first and second parts I explained about the location and the route to the museum, ticket prices and how to start the exhibition and, of course, about the exhibition itself. In the third part, I will continue viewing the exhibition and leave my comments on the exhibits that evoked my feelings. Let's get started!

To be honest, this exhibition is one of the brightest and most colorful for all the time that I visit museums. And even though most of the exhibits are completely meaningless and have a purely entertaining character, but this is the specific charm of such exhibitions. Four floors full of amazing and unique artifacts - it is so exciting. Here, for example, are huge old socks. WHY? Why is this here and what does it mean? How did the author come up with this idea? Who or what inspired him? But there are indeed many questions... And I found my own personal meaning in it. Everyone probably knows about this HUGE problem (huge as those socks), that men have a tendency to throw their dirty socks all around the house. And that's where the thought came from! After all, these socks are as big as the family problem itself (and in most cases, it's only a problem for women)! Many family melodramas and comedies often mock this point and here the author created these giant socks to demonstrate the scale of the problem. I only shared my own opinion on this expo, I am also curious to know your theories :)

At first glance, the photo is disgusting, but you should read the description that is written next and the impression changes immediately. It's just a bathtub filled with healing liquid.

It's minimalistic and monochromatic enough! That's what I love.

It's really creepy and obscure.....

One of my favorite pieces in this exhibit! I saw a woman in this chair right away, or rather breasts, legs and thighs. It reminded me the movies of the 80s, where American beauties walked around the beach in similar swimsuits. And this little foot pouffe clearly resembles a volleyball beach ball! You have to agree that it's very similar! I love examining these colors, shapes and textures, the way the creator combined many different aspects into something cohesive and got a real work of art! Hanging in the background is a “9-piece self-portrait” painting. At first I didn't understand what the “9 parts” had to do with it, but when I looked closer, I saw that it is indeed not one whole painting, but 9 different parts that create one unified canvas.

And this room here reminded me of a therapist's room. That green couch has a deep association with a therapist. Various miniature paintings perfectly complemented the atmosphere and made the room more “noisy”. But taking a glance aside...

Piles of books and a mountain of chairs - what happened here? Had someone decided to turn the therapist's office into the back room of a dusty old library (which is what it looked like in my high school). I thought it was very fun.

This is where the theater genre of Cabaret found a place. In this cramped and well-lit corner were many exhibits that I looked at with great interest.

Just look at it.

Again we came across a strange room where things were placed in a chaotic way. But this chaos has produced something unusual and it looks quite intriguing. Never before in my life have I encountered a small coffee table with five photo frames on it, there really is style in it. The sloppy stacks of books also seemed like an interesting idea to me.

And this picture I associate with the now popular AI service 'Midjourney'. I liked this painting so much that I even wanted to buy it! The combination of blue and green has never been put together so well. I stood and gazed at these beautiful dogs, tried to guess the breed and marveled at the imagination of the author of this painting. Although I should mention that this painting is over 25 years old and the idea was created by a human brain, not by artificial intelligence, which simply amazes me! A large and airy room where everything is made of grass. It really looks like a large lawn for walking dogs! Each object in this painting has its own emotion and nature, and it is these factors that make the painting incredibly entertaining.

I really liked this painting, because in the reflection we can also see a portrait of a woman. I found it very attractive.

Nothing special, just a chair with pants on.

Someone has beheaded the Gorgon.

It's the very first time I've ever seen such a realistic sculpture. I really thought that little boy could actually move.

Just pictures.

Most of Istanbul's neighborhood looks just like this.

Even in the museum you can easily find
a cat!

There is also an amazing store with various books. Most of them are related to different types of art, and even just looking through the pages of such a book is an interesting thing to do.

And the most important thing is the café! There is quite a large range of beverages and meals to choose from. I chose pasta with vegetables and parmesan and was very pleased. As to me it is the same restaurant dish.
