I have been really enjoying doing macro photography with parchment paper lately. I feel like there are no rules to it and you just get to have fun and experiment with light, color, and composition.
I like to fold, twist, crumple, and tear to achieve different results.
I have used either colored gels on a simple Speedlight, or Phillips Hue light bulbs to achieve different colors and combinations of lighting effects.
I will often use focus stacking to get the desired depth of field. It can really elevate the look of the photo.
It is always about having fun for me. I like the "no rules" approach to this style of photography. I would encourage anyone to give this a try. I will most definitely be doing more in the future.
No rules is a great approach. Just create and see what happens, its something I enjoy myself. Thanks for sharing.
