So, as most of you know, in the last few days, a cat has been coming to my terrace. We decided to give her time and slowly get her used to us, and then live with us.
I thought she was the only feral or abandoned cat, but she seems to have company. On the second day, a cat similar to her in build arrives. Scared eight times more than her. It has tiger-like fur on its back and head speckled with orange spots from the sun. Today, they are not the only guests who come to fill their stomachs. Another cat comes, I'm sure it's a male. It is quite large, it certainly has or had owners until recently. Maybe he's just the better hunter of the two. He is so scared that he runs as soon as the light comes on in the kitchen.
Do we have a problem? We have. There would be room for one more cat in the house, but four in total is a big deal. With two cats and one cat, even the first visit to the vet would be quite expensive. After that castration. Feeding them is the least of the problems. They eat everything.
I want to help them all, but I am not able to equally.
She learned to wait outside the door. She knows that someone will see her and bring her food. We build trust slowly. The food that brings it to us.
Progress is eating out of our hands. She has cat food in her bowl, she also has salami. She chooses salami first, then other food.
Oh man, how wonderful this salami smells.
Come on, come on!
I hope you have more, man.
I have to smell it first just in case you don't cheat on me.
Take it easy, I don't think you're kidding me.
I'll take it slow and gentle so I don't hurt you.
Come on, I see your hand and I know you want to try to touch me.
But I can take another big bite.
Delicious!
Okay, you smell like salami.
But you don't have salami!
A picture speaks more than a thousand words.
Do you have anything else to eat?
Nah, you don't have.
You have! Give me that!
Thank you, man.
I appreciate it.
She has such beautiful and big green eyes that they seem unreal to me.
After a good meal, it is necessary to hydrate the body.
She moved away a little to wash.
And this is the last picture. She lay down in the sun, stretched out. One grateful look. What do you think, does she already have a baby or will she have one?
What to do when you accept that you will adopt one cat and her kittens, and two more come?
Only our cat eats quite a lot of food. More sand treats and vet costs. One more cat isn't such a big deal, but three in total?
People here are not in the habit of being irresponsible owners. I thought she was the exception, but two more? Well, the neighborhood we live in can justify so many abandoned cats.
Animal shelters are not like the ones we are used to. They are well taken care of here. I'm just afraid that if we contact them, we will be left without her.
What to do? Do you have any smart advice?

Love it! The cat looked suspicious at first, yet ended up eating still. Maybe you gained the cat's trust now.
Dear @ninal997, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a bit more support to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,
