Thank you! Indeed, such a lovely island country and the culture is unique I would say with that mixture or English, Italian & Arabic elements ;)
I would love to explore and enjoy it few more times when/if things go back to "normal" ;)

Yes it is all of those nationalities, the names such as "T'a Xbiex" near Valletta are quite fascinating. I was bowled over by the amount of history there. My brother and wife lived there for two years. They had their first and only child whilst there! It was as if the country cast a spell on them!

Roll on "normal", is all I can say!

Wow, now that's a story :)
The other thing that fascinated me too, was the constant songs of the church bells, through the days and through the nights, no break at all! Contrary to what I was thinking initially, I was sleeping like a baby there :)

All those young people who go to Valletta to study languages probably don't realize how lucky they are ;)

The first time we went, we stayed in Sliema, great hotel called "The Palace Hotel" and that was next door to a church called "Stella Maris" I think and the bells chimed often. Never bothered us though but it was a popular grumble on review sites we looked at!

:)
I never heard anyone complaining, from the people I met there :)
