I think calling them smartphones is misleading marketing.
They are as you know hand held computers that can make phone calls and take amazing photos.

I think you're right. Imagine these are phones and they should be used for making phone calls but that is maybe the least used function. We have some many other ways to communicate nowadays, it's crazy ๐
