Feast of The Holy Family

The feast of the Holy Family takes place every 26th of December as a commemoration for the life of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. I was hired to shoot for the students' portrayal of the holy family. I immediately did not have any second thoughts in accepting the project! Although it was quite challenging on my part because it happened a week before my exams, I'm happy that I got to help my clients pull off their project for school😊

This shoot was unlike any other ordinary pictorials that I had because I have to go through carefully with the details that I would include within the frame.

The shoot was done in just a matter of an hour but I have to spend the whole day editing the photos. Fun backstory to the persons who portrayed Jesus and Mary are actually an ex couple🤣 They were super awkward with each other at first but I made sure to keep things light for both of them. Thankfully, with team effort, we were able to create amazing outputs and I'm delighted that they were also satisfied with it.

While editing the photos, I honestly can't help but to reflect of how the Holy Family is so underrated. I mean, we only think of them mostly every Christmas. But the truth is, they've played a vital role which deserves to be remembered all through out the year.

I can't imagine what Mary and Joseph has to go through and what it felt like for them to be the bearer of the savior of earth. I am a Christian and I hope I could get to know more details about the Holy Family especially about the part when Jesus was growing. I have a few questions in mind such as:

1. How was Mary and Joseph's parenting?
2. Was Jesus naughty just like any other kids?
3. Has Jesus experienced a normal childhood just like everybody else?
4. Did Mary and Joseph disciplined Him or is it the other way around?

Things like that! Hahaha😅

But I also thought of the symbolic representation of the Holy Family here on earth which is a reminder for families to live a life full of love and stick together no matter what. Family is where we first learn our values as a human being so it is important to be in a good one because they really play a big part in planting a foundation of strong and good mentality in our lives

Anyway, belated Merry Christmas everyone!🎄 I hope you all had a good one! Let's all remember the true meaning of why we're celebrating Christmas. It's not about the fancy dinner, dress, nor gifts! But it's all about remembering that Jesus, the best gift given by our Father in heaven, came to the earth to save us from our sins.
