RE: INJURIES IN SPORTS AND HOW TO GET YOUR MOTIVATION BACK AFTER AN INJURY / PHOTO SESSION

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

Though most people tend to see injuries in sports from the physical aspect, the mental and psychological aspect is vital for total recovery.

I've had friends who never got back to their glorious best after injuries because of mental issues. The loneliness associated with not being able to do what one loves best is punishing. Aaron Ramsey, former Arsenal midfielder, never quite recovered mentally from the serious injury he suffered at a young age.

I once missed a very important semifinal match because I had groin injury. We lost the match and I carried the guilt for a long time, quietly blaming myself for the team's loss. It took a long while for me to sort myself out.

Lastly, surrounding oneself with loved ones do help to heal the mental scars of injury. Staying alone, one may turn to alcohol or drugs to avoid facing the possible outcomes of injury. Also, the points you highlighted were wonderful.

That's right! 👋

The key is precisely that we cannot do what we want. I imagine if I can't take pictures...
