Clouds and snowcapped mountains

Snow on the Earth, clouds on the sky, both white and changeable, transitional in a way, but both provoking a magnificent sense of wonder and innocence. Playful even, but at the same time surprising. There’s something in that white colour, that almost feels magical and surreal. Maybe we are sometimes too used to tales from childhood and our imagination.

Well, walking and hiking, I had a chance to observe two differently shaped white figures, almost reflecting and greeting each other, but also so different in consistence and intensity. Green scenery was quite refreshing in combination with white clouds and snowcapped mountains.

I wanted to capture a moment, how I see it, through my eyes. Different eyes can capture the same sight in a different way. This is how I saw it. Perfect harmony and I loved the reflections in the water, both almost mirroring one another.

There was this one cloud, a nice one, a funny one almost, for me, in a way. It decided to follow me. More likely I followed it with my eyes. So I said hello cloud, so big is the distance between the Earth and the sky, but it feels closer.

Why to sit in a city or in some park when there are places like this to be seen? Why say another time or another day? No, it’s now. We have clouds in a city too, but they are simply not perceived the same way like here. That’s how the Earth was, who knows how it was before the cities and tall buildings? But I guess, this is how it should be. Simple.

The same goes for a starry sky. Do we even see the beauty of a starry sky at night in any big city? Stars pass unobserved. Universe. How many stars are out there? What’s out there? Yet we are used not to wonder about it, because we don’t see them much in a city. But in any other place, out in the nature, that’s where stars reveal themselves and we perceive them differently.

To have a different perspective, we have to change our viewpoint first. The same goes for many other things in life.
