These are 2 different wolf spiders that I photographed. The first has hundreds of babies on her back. The second photograph is of a wolf spider carrying her eggsack. Both of these photograph were taken by me using a Canon 5D Mark II camera and a I believe a Canon MP-E 65mm 1x-5x lens. Wolf spiders are quite common in my area of north Texas. The bite from one is painful but not life threatening. They also rarely bite, I often let them crawl on my hands and have never been bit.
