Every March a local fish bait store gets a shipment of "Water dogs" . These are some of the best fishing bait you can get. A water dog is a slang term for a larva of a salamander, most commonly the Tiger Salamander. A few years back, I purchased 10 of these water dogs and kept them and let them grow up. Since they are used as bait, the stores dont take care of them and several died pretty quickly. I had 4 total out of 10 grow up. This is one I took a photograph of. I used a Canon 5D Mark II and I believe a Sigma 180mm macro lens. I am not sure on the lens though.
