I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077, and it's futuristic good looks have inspired me to explore around the neighbourhood because of its similarity to the world of Night City. So, I put on my sneakers and shades, then grabbing my jacket, I headed out to explore the city on a crisp Autumn evening.
We’re averaging about 10.5 hours of sunlight daily and falling. Storms off the Pacific have been bringing a lot of moisture, but this evening the sky cleared up a bit, and the sunlight was creating nice effects on the towers.
When darkness begins to fall, and the lights come on, the city turns electric. The shapes are more defined, especially where the colours and neon glow accentuating lines and curves.
Now the jungle of glass makes sense. Its quirky aesthetic touches that are uniquely west coast.
So is this city the dankest place on Earth or what? Acshually, Vancouver is also known as no-fun-city. I blame nimbys (no fun in their backyards), hippies (too stoned to plan a night out), and introverted techno-geeks (prefer hanging out with their waifus). Up until recently, for instance, rules regarding when and where alcohol could be consumed were stringent because people were concerned about disturbances and such. This meant that past a certain time, you and your homies could only have virgin margaritas. The rules have been relaxed recently and the city is looking slightly more vibrant. We do have other ways of enjoying ourselves, but that's another bedtime story. So if you get past the lack of nightlife, you find an awkward but colourful teenage city that still has braces, but it's beginning to look the part.

Wow you got some amazing shots.
It was a beautiful evening ✨
Your witty take on Vancouver as the "dankest place on Earth" made me laugh 😂, C'mon. It's evolving 🙃. I love how you are explore this cyberpunk 2077. I wish Vancouver is more vibrant than it is now. Beautiful pictures!
It was fun to explore and see what sights I just randomly came across throughout the city. I'm loving CP2077. It does remind me of Vancouver, so playing it is kind of meta.
I loved the pictures, the angle, the perspective, the lighting, everything, it's excellent! Thank you very much @litguru ❤️
Muchisimas gracias, @avdesing. I enjoyed trying to find scenes throughout the city. The sunlight was nicely reflecting off clouds and created some wonderful effects 🌇
That's what I enjoyed the most, those reflections and the great views, thanks to you @litguru 😀
