Festival of the future in ICE Krakow Congress Centre, Poland

Hey guys,

today I would like to take you on a very special photography tour, a tour around the famous ICE Congress Center in Krakow, Poland.

I visited the center last year in September when it was hosting a celebration of what would be the 100th birthday of Stanislaw Lem, a prominent Polish philosopher, author and futurologist.

The event took place for five days and it was called the Megabit Bomb Festival. It was a unique mixture of culture, science and technology. The festival was really interesting but I was maybe even more impressed by the magnificent design and architecture of the congress center itself.
Located right on the bank of the Wisla River, the center was designed to host congresses, conferences, shows, exhibitons, concerts and other cultural events.

The center can accommodate up to 3,200 people and there is a beautiful view of the neighboring Wawel Castle from there.

In 2009, the center was nominated for an award at the prestigious World Architectrure Festival in Barcelona, Spain in the category "cultural projects".

It´s a truly fascinating piece of architecture and I hope you will enjoy the photos that I took there 🙂
