Anyway. Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, was my home for many years. I was a witness of the rapid boom of the city. One example is the number of the cars that increased from about 200k to about two millions in under ten years!
People moved in and migrated from the smaller cities and towns looking for a "better" life.
Yes, the salaries in Sofia are the biggest in Bulgaria but the quality of living isn't great.
It's one of the most polluted capitals in Europe. If not THE most polluted one.

Funny thing is I still depend on grid power :D
As we didn't have enough money for batteries.
So if grip power goes off, we don't get any electricity either.
Otherwise, in sunny days, with some planning, we consume 80% of our daily needs with the new PV system :)
One of these days you get the batteries. Or you can complement with one of those small gasoline generators in case energy goes to shit in a few years.
I wouldn't be surprised if by then the price of a litter of gasoline is bigger than the price of the generator today...
