Today, I came across a fully grown periwinkle plant outside a small shopâstanding there quietly, spreading itself wide, blooming with the fullest potential life gave it. It wasnât placed in a fancy garden, nor was it surrounded by perfect soil or dedicated care. Yet, it radiated beauty, strength, and abundance. Sometimes, nature surprises us the most in places we expect the least.
Periwinkle plants have something magical about them. They are evergreenâliving, thriving, and blooming throughout the year without demanding much. Their delicate-looking flowers may appear fragile, but these plants are among the strongest survivors you can ever plant. Sun, shade, dryness, dustânothing seems to shake their spirit.
What fascinates me most about periwinkle is how one single plant can turn into many. It spreads easily, almost like a small green âvirusâ of beauty. Before you realize it, one plant becomes a cluster, and a cluster becomes a vibrant patch full of color and life. The plant doesnât try too hard; it simply grows where it is rooted and fills the space with charm.
As I observed the bunch of soft pink flowers blooming generously, I couldnât help but think about how nature silently gives us lessons. The periwinkle doesnât wait for the perfect environmentâno perfect pot, perfect sunlight, or perfect care. It just adapts, grows, and blooms anyway. Isnât that something we humans forget?
We often wait for the ideal moment, the proper plan, the right time⊠but life blossoms when we choose to bloom where we stand.
The single plant outside the shop wasnât in a celebrated space, yet it looked like the happiest plant in the worldâunstoppable, full of life, and proudly stretching its vibrant petals toward every passerby.
Periwinkle teaches us resilience.
It teaches us abundance.
It teaches us that beauty doesnât need perfectionâit just needs courage to grow.
Sometimes, a tiny flower on a random street corner can remind you that life, too, can be simple, steady, and naturally beautiful, if only you allow yourself to bloom despite the odds.
