Hello Hivers
Here are a few pics of some Elk I spotted in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada.
It is Autumn and the rut is occuring. Males are battling over females.
These two were distracted by some traffic, but the match started soon afterwars.
It was a thrill watching, they eventually walked away but continued to stop and spar every few minutes. I think it was more of each of them practicing.
They are much larger then a deer and some bulls have reached 500Kg.
Thank you for viewing my Elk, who are also known as Wapiti.
Thank you for your support!
Wao! Beautiful 🙌

Thank you! I appreciate your compliment. They are amazing to see, much larger then a deer.
