ALL ABOUT NATURE

in Photography Lovers4 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone! This is my first post in this community. The moment I knew this community, I started to ask myself what are the possible photos that I can post here? To be honest, I am really worried that my photos may look cheap or it's not beautifully taken. But on the second thought, I think it's nice to share this photos without overthinking about the opinion of others. But of course, I will take constructive criticism and consider it as an avenue to improve. I am not a professional photographer. I just love taking random photos especially when I have a DSLR camera in my hand but most of my photos in my albums are taken using a smart phone. In this post, it was all taken using a DSLR camera and are unedited photos. So, without a further ado, dive in and I'll show you.

2 years ago, my aunt brought me somewhere in Lapu-lapu City, Cebu, Philippines. I ask her to borrow her DSLR camera so that I can take this beautiful sceneries. Personally, I do love beaches. It's kinda ironic actually because I don't know how to swim. But here I am being completely and utterly consumed by its beauty.

This is a Cacao Mini Forest. I really love this place because it reminds me of my elementary days. Our school has few cacao trees most specially closed to the preparatory and 2nd grade building and my 5th grade classroom. My male classmates will start getting some fruits during break and immediately hide inside our classroom. They will make sure that they will give us some and that was my first time tasting the Cacao fruit. Imagine us, 11 year old students eating it as fast as we could so that our teachers won't caught us. Later on, we knew that the teachers are totally fine with it and won't reprimand us. They are just worried that one may get hurt when he/she climbs the tree.

These are two of my favorite photos in my documents. I am just in love with this architecture and how it was situated near the shore. I really love how it turns out. Recently, I started editing it and applying some Lightroom Presets but I feel like it's not as beautiful as the original. I just love the colors and how vibrant this photo is and I think it's one of the reasons why I am completely drawn by it.

Lastly, this photograph was taken in a diferent place. I recently posted a travel blog about this. You can check it out. This place is named as Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Philippines. Interesting name, isn't it? The origin of the hills' name is simple yet mind blowing. Philippines has two seasons-dry and wet. During wet season, it will show you a soft and lush appearance of green hills while during the dry season (summer), the color of the hills makes an epic change from green to brown. Amazing, isn't it? According to the locals and some experts, these now turned brown hills resemble of a chocolate—more specifically, Hershey’s Kisses—as far as the eye can see and the name Chocolate Hills was given to the captivating hills.

I think that's it. I hope you like it. Thanks!

Howdy Jenny! Thanks for sharing your photos here in the community! I understand your anxiety of expectation but am glad you overcame that and posted here. The architecture was awesome and those Hershey Kiss hills do look amazing. I really liked the framing on your second image. The way the lines crisscross in the water leads your eyes all over the image. You have such beauty all around you... it won't be difficult to capture some and keep on sharing your photography here.

I would say keeping things in focus is priority one (not that any of your images in this post had any issues with that) and considering your lighting would be priority two when composing some shots. Keep in mind the balance of the image as a whole and frame things as interesting as possible. Great first post. Looking forward to seeing more... Keep up the great work. Welcome to the Photography Lover's Community!
