I had a calm Sunday, got up very early as usual, drank a cup of hot coffee and went out for a long walk to exercise, although this time I didn't take my camera with me... So I came back earlier than usual and my wife had just finished preparing breakfast... I shared the rest of the morning with my wife and my youngest daughter, then I went to my mother's house (next door to my house by the way) and stayed there during the afternoon with her and my sister who was there visiting... In the late afternoon I returned home and remembered that January has been a delightful month for landscape photography and that I still had many of these photos in my archives waiting to be processed and shared here on #Hive with you, so this is what I dedicated the final hours of the day to...

Tuve un Domingo calmado, me levanté muy temprano como siempre, bebí una taza de café caliente y salí a dar una larga caminata para ejercitarme, aunque esta vez no llevé mi cámara conmigo... Así que retorné más temprano de lo acostumbrado y mi esposa recién estaba terminado de preparar el desayuno... Compartí el resto de la mañana con mi esposa y mi hija menor, luego fui a casa de mi madre (aledaña a mi casa por cierto) y allí estuve durante la tarde con ella y mi hermana quien estaba allí de visita... Al final de la tarde regresé a mi casa y recordé que Enero ha sido un mes delicioso para hacer fotografías de paisajes y que aún tenía muchas de estas fotos en mis archivos esperando ser procesadas y compartidas aquí en #Hive con ustedes, así que a esto fue lo que dediqué las horas finales del día...

The Montalban valley covers a relatively small space, I would say about 10 or 11 kilometers from north to south and about 6 kilometers from east to west approximately. However, the “climatic mood” of this place can be as hilariously changeable as mine (and believe me, my mood swings like a pendulum in an earthquake)... So it's common here in Montalbán to have mornings with blue or overcast and gray skies, fog, high temperatures and humidity, or even a cool wind and a bit of morning chill, all in the same week and with no previous signs for change... All this means that the already varied landscape can seem to look even more diverse day after day, even making the same place look different depending on the day you visit... And that's very good for taking pictures, indeed!...

El valle de Montalbán abarca un espacio relativamente pequeño, yo diría que son unos 10 u 11 kilómetros de Norte a Sur y unos 6 de Este a Oeste aproximadamente. Sin embargo, el "humor climático" de este lugar puede ser tan divertidamente cambiante como mi el mío (y créanme que mi humor oscila como un péndulo en un terremoto)... Así que es común que aquí en Montalbán tengamos mañanas con cielos azules o encapotados y grises, niebla, temperaturas y humedad altas, o incluso un viento fresco y un poco de frío matutino, todo en una misma semana y sin señales previas para el cambio... Todo esto trae como consecuencia que el ya variopinto paisaje pueda parece lucir aún más diverso día tras día, haciendo incluso que un mismo lugar parezca otro según se el día en el que se le visite... ¡Y eso es muy buen para hacer fotos caray!...

Not only the valley is an inexhaustible source of landscapes worthy to be explored and of course photographed, also the views from the surrounding hills give us a peripheral and eloquent vision of Montalbán... This year the dry season has arrived in a very accentuated way, so I will surely have many more days of good weather to make excursions and take pictures. I hope
sincerely hope that forest fires are not as common and extensive as in past years, as this tends to dramatically impact the appearance of the surroundings and even the local climate...

No solo el valle es una fuente inagotable de paisajes dignos de ser recorridos y por supuesto fotografiados, también las vistas desde las colinas alrededor nos regalan una visión periférica y elocuente de Montalbán... Este año la estación seca a llegado muy acentuada, así que seguramente tendré por delante bastantes días más de buen clima para hacer excursiones y tomar fotos. Espero sinceramente que los incendios forestales no sean tan comunes y extensos como en años pasados, pues esto suele impactar de manera dramática el aspecto de los alrededores e incluso el clima local...

This week that starts today, it seems to me propitious to continue my rounds of excursions to places in the valley, either walking or riding my bike, so during the second half of January I will surely have more landscapes to share with you... ;)

Esta semana que comienza hoy, me parece propicia para continuar mis rondas de excursiones por lugares del valle, ya se caminado o montado en mi bicicleta, así que durante la segunda mitad de Enero tendré más paisajes para compartir con ustedes seguramente... ;)

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
