La Naturaleza siempre nos sorprende con sus hermosos seres vivos, hoy me regalo la oportunidad de apreciar la belleza de esta pequeña ave, conocida como tucusito, colibrí o picaflor, al salir al jardín de mi casa a tempranas horas de la mañana, veo a esta ave tirada en el suelo, lo sostuve en mi mano, por un momento creí que estaba muerto, me quede observando fijamente su pecho cuando note que aun respiraba, lo acaricie e inmediatamente abrió sus ojos y sus alas y note que una de ellas estaba herida, intente dejarlo sobre un árbol, luego pensé que podía volver a caerse, así que lo sostuve un rato mas, mientras admiraba su hermoso colorido, su pico bien delgado y largo, especial para obtener el néctar de las flores.
Nature always surprises us with its beautiful living beings, today it gives me the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of this small bird, known as tucusito, hummingbird or hummingbird, when I go out to the garden of my house early in the morning, I see this bird lying on the ground, I held it in my hand, for a moment I thought it was dead, I stared at its chest when I noticed that it was still breathing, I caressed it and immediately opened its eyes and its wings and I noticed that one of them was injured, I tried to leave it on a tree, then I thought that it could fall again, so I held it a while more, while I admired its beautiful coloring, its very thin and long beak, special to obtain the flower nectar.
Estas aves vuelan con un sensacional batir de sus alas, para desplazarse, es sorprendente su acelerado revoloteo de alas, dedicando su vida a polinizar nuestras flores de toda nuestra geografía venezolana.
These birds fly with a sensational flapping of their wings, to move, their accelerated fluttering of wings is surprising, dedicating their lives to pollinate our flowers throughout our Venezuelan geography.
El Tucusito, como lo llamamos en nuestro país, son símbolos de Venezuela, ya que hace algunos años, en la década de los 60, y hasta la actualidad se escucha un aguinaldo dedicado a ellos, y dice así ¡Tucusito Tucusito, llevame a cortar las flores! interpretado por un coro infantil.

Esta diminuta ave es mas fuerte de lo que pensaba. Al poco tiempo de sostenerlo en mis manos, alzo su vuelo hacia los arboles, no estaba tan débil como lo creí.
This tiny bird is stronger than I thought. Shortly after holding it in my hands, it took its flight towards the trees, it was not as weak as I thought.
Y de Pronto fue un día de suerte lograr apreciar esta inquieta ave en mis manos. Son bendiciones y regalos de la naturaleza.
And suddenly it was a lucky day to be able to appreciate this restless bird in my hands. They are blessings and gifts of nature.
