The thrill of riding

It has been 5 years that I have learned to ride a motorcycle and to be honest it has been a wonderful journey. My motorcycle was my best companion throughout the years.

From hard times like breakup or happy moments of life, she was always with me throughout the journey. The only one who witnessed my whole life. I still remember my first and longest ride being 200km to attend a wedding. The day started with a drizzle of rain followed by a beautiful sunrise. The wind was really pleasant, and apart from few road bumps, everything else was lovely. Feeling the winds swishing through my long hair reminded me of a sunset at the beach.

One of the most pleasuring and honourable moment for me was joining the 16th December victory day rally of my country. Consisting of almost a thousand motorcycles, it felt like we were heading towards war ourselves. All the motorcycles moved in a synchronized pattern and with our helmets on, it felt like an army faction of Spartans heading for war.

Even today whenever I need to be anywhere at any given time, I just bring my motorcycle out, drop a gear and dissapera. Even moving through traffic feels like a smooth breeze. Although some traffic in my country is inevitable to avoid since majority of our 16 million population are centered in the capital, Dhaka.

To end with, I hope and pray that this unbreakable bond between me and my motorcycle lasts for a long time. And will also like to encourage everyone to ride safely.
