Glimpses of Fields & Farm Terraces

I have mentioned quite a few times (or maybe a lot) that I love the sight of fields and farmlands. That we live in a farming town where we get to see them everyday (well, if we go out of the house that is) and I'm always (always) amazed seeing them, more so when there are rows and rows of plots or crops in them.

They're one of those that I tend to photograph most of the time. And these shots were down by the valley when we were on the road sometime last month, taken while the car's running.

Across the bridge are some farmlands, most had greens (various root crops, mostly carrots and potatoes) in them. There's a small river which serves as the main source of irrigation and although the water gets lesser in summer, at least it doesn't run dry.

Below on the other hand, were at another village. Shots taken when we were on the way to a funeral.

Vegetable farming is the main livelihood of people here making our region one of the top producers of veggies in the country. It's worrisome though to see mountains and hills getting bulldozed and turned into farm terraces.

And this last one is a glimpse of farmlands in another region (Mt. Province) which I believe used to grow rice but had shifted into vegetables too.

Anyway, these shots aren't professional so pardon their angles and such.

And it's Friday already here on my side of the world and almost middle of the month, whew! I just realized that today is my 9th day here at the other house. Can't believe I have stayed here that long, lol! But I'm actually missing the lil kingdom and hopefully go back there soon.
