But I post this on a Tuesday morning 11:30 in the Netherlands! Well, I see on the word date map that on the isle of Alofi in Niue, it still is Monday! And also Midway and Baker island in the USA it's stil Monday! So I am good! 😁
This time my mono Monday post is from the beach of Scheveningen, pictures I took last winter! I love walking on the beach in wintertime! I love the cold fresh air that hits you in the face while you are walking! And during those dirty winter months the weather could be pretty grey!
Even then I like the beach! Like there is no limit of clothes you can put on if you are cold, there is a limit when you are to hot... 😋
Scheveningen The Hague pier
One of the most popular spots to go to the beach in the Netherlands is Scheveningen beach! it is a neighborhood of the city of The Hague! It has got big and wide boulevard and of course, as seen here in the pictures, a big pier! The only one in the Netherlands!
There is a restaurant, a big ferris wheel and from the lookout tower you can go sip lining and bungee jumping! I love to do long exposure photography here!
But when there are massive clouds, normal photography is also nice! Especial in black and white!
The Old harbor
If I go to the beach in Scheveningen, I park my car near the old harbor! Then you can directly walk on to the beach or walk along the break water of the harbor, witch is build with these awesome blocks!
I tried to make some panning shot in the harbor, but still need to practice that more!
There are no rocks on the beach in the Netherlands, we just have sand and shells! But here, there is one point witch has got some basalt blocks! I am not sure why this is there, but maybe it's an anchor point for the life guards! Its a nice spot for some long exposure photography!
A lonely hiker is also a nice subject in photography! This way you can really see how big and wide a landscape really is!
At night, the pier and ferris wheel are nicely lite up! Very good location for shooting in the blue hour but black and white will also do very good!

Awww, the lovely Scheveningen beach! Been there years ago, in November and loved it a lot. Are those lovely artworks still there? I had a lot of fun there, hope to go back one day.
