Early foggy morning around my hometown Zeist!

This morning I was awake pretty early and I couldn't fall asleep anymore! When I peaked out the window I saw that it was a very dense fog outside! And there was one thing I wanted to do for a long time and that is shooting my home town at night in thick fog! I wanted to capture the "emptiness" of a city at night! And fog makes the pictures feel more empty or lonely!

It wasn't night anymore but it's winter time and it is 21 december so it's the longest night of the year! Sun rises at 08:45 and set at 16:28!

I grabbed my camera bag and my bike and drove of in the dark morning!
One of the first main streets I drove by was this one! There wasn't "emptiness" any more because early morning,people are already going to work and school!

The closer I got to the centre of the town, the less foggy it was!
I drove to a big manor house, Slot Zeist and there the first thing I saw was this tree lane! It's just like I can't do photography without trees! I am a true nature photographer!

I love the atmosphere here! And the people walking to work did make these pictures more interesting!
Next to the mention is a big school and many offices! A lot of people driving and walking around there or were waiting for the bus to go to the city of Utrecht!

I did a tour around the mention and his moat and shot these pictures! There is still a bit of ice in the moat of the first frost period of this winter!
Temperatures are way above freezing this moment, so the ice is soon gone!

In one part of the moat, there is a road to a big school! Cars who were passing by, illuminated the little bit of fog that was still left above the water! Beams of light past by the monument that is standing along the water!
