...meanwhile here in the Uk we get a bit of wind and rain and the govt sends out emergency warnings to people's smartphones. (nope I have blocked the alerts), schools close, roads shut. Society has gone all bed wetting and hand wringing. nanny state interfering at every level, kids growing up risk averse. This place is doomed.

I know it is crazy… people used to just deal with it.
