Back to winter shots now. Back in January, I visited the Männiku sand quarry that is not far from the capital Tallinn. In summer, there are several lakes that have filled up with water in the sand quarry. Been there many times in summer but not in the winter. I thought it was time to make that happen. It was a beautiful(very cold) sunny winter day which is not something to let go to waste.
In particular, I had an idea to walk over the ice to a small island that is in the middle of the quarry.
Why did they leave an island in the middle of the quarry? Now a lake. If you have any ideas then let me know.
Having reached the island, I just climbed to the top of the hill and took some photos of the surrounding beautiful winter scenery.
Frozen trees.
Not a single cloud in the sky that day.
