Golden Beach in Iceland

Iceland is famous for its black otherwordly beaches. What you don't find much are white or golden sand beaches. According to my knowledge, there is none on the main part of the island but if you go to Westfjords then there are a couple of places on the southern coast where the golden beach phenomenon happens.

I just stopped at one spot and took some shots of the coastal area there.

The more you know! Doesn't look like there is much of a tide rolling in...

The sea level varies quite a lot there but the tides themselves are not that drastic.

Amazing landscapes from an amazing country; thank you for sharing.

Sure, much more to come!
