Knight's festival in the Belarusian city of Mstislavl

Hello! Today I want to tell you about my modest trip to an equally quick, but colorful place in Belarus - the city of Mstislavl. This city is located in the eastern part of the country and is a cultural heritage.

However, the city itself is of interest once a year. Namely, when an interesting action takes place in it - a knight's festival. This event attracts not only participants from Belarus, but also lovers of antiquity from different countries. In particular, knightly tournaments, horse races, a medieval festival, a fire show and much more are held.

During the festival, the city is maximally transformed and filled with the spirit of the Middle Ages. In addition, Mstislavl is a very old city with a rich history closely associated with prosperity and conquest. Things, people and medieval buildings are steeped in history.

The heart of everything is the so-called Castle Hill. It is there that the most spectacular events are held - knights are fighting, horses are galloping, a fire show, a medieval fair.

Numerous exhibitions do not leave anyone indifferent either. Paintings and antiquities from the Middle Ages are the main highlight of the festival. Various instruments of torture of the Middle Ages were of particular interest among people.

All excursions are accompanied by depressing music and stories from the presenter. The atmosphere corresponding to the place pleases any unassuming guest. The torture exhibition takes place right in the dark basement of an old building.

From the excursion, you can learn a lot about everyday life and not only old generations.

The organizers did their best to put illustrations, antiques and music in one bottle.

Many people come with their families and stay in the tent city. A couple of days in the fresh air does not harm anyone. Plus, a variety of food and an abundance of alcoholic products to some extent make the holiday even brighter.

This is an old building that has been remodeled several times and is in such a terrible state. It seems like they are collecting the whole world to restore it, but so far, due to changes, the roof has collapsed.

I once wrote about this attraction. One of the "faces" of the event, but in such a bad state. I hope this will be fixed someday. But in general, visiting the knights' festival in the glorious city of Mstislavl is an exciting adventure that remains in the memory and eats into the soul. Lovers of this will be delighted, and not amateurs get an attractive experience.

They didn't play around back in the old days! Ouch!!! I really like the paintings and architecture. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Well, yes, in the old days, these were not games! I am an architecture lover. Thanks for your feedback.

Some places would probably be better off if they brought back some of these punishments for Real Crime. It might make people think twice before raping or murdering.... i mean, nothing would be worth being pulled down on that pyramid of pain. I can tell you love architecture based on how well you capture it's beauty! Take care!

I agree that inhuman crimes require more severe punishments than those that exist now. People in the Middle Ages were inventive in the instruments of punishment. Simple incarceration does not stop potential criminals. Alas.
Thank you for curating and rating my photos!

You are most welcome my friend! Keep up the great work. =)
