Far away winter

I don't usually name my photographs but this one earned itself some special attention. It is more than seven years since I started to send, on the first day of each month, one picture along my new months wishes, to an e-mail list of friends. That is almost 90 pictures until today, when I sent the above one. And it was a blast! More replies and very enthusiastic ones than any other! Which came as a surprise to me. I can see it's a nice pictures but is it so much better than my usual stuff? I don't know, maybe it is just because it is pretty different than the ones I usually send. Or because it is really good, you tell me :)

Anyway since it got so much attention, I figured that it deserves a title, like all the art works! And it also deserves a godmother to perform the naming. The funny thing is that she doesn't know it yet and she hasn't seen the picture either, but she will soon enough!

In yesterday's post I was telling you how much the weather looks like spring and that we haven't felt the touch of winter at all. I had my pictures to back up my words and you had no reason to doubt me. Today I am showing you some other pictures from that same walk that prove me wrong. Pictures that demonstrate a fiercely and cold winter.

Where lies the truth?

Do I play with words, as well as with editing, or the reality is as objective as the push of a curve button?

I would say the second. I was experiencing a lovely day but when I talked to some other people, I realised that some of them felt that it was a cold and bitter day! So I would say that I wasn't lying in either of the posts, no matter how contradictory they are. I just presented one reality through two different mindsets.

Some people saw the gloomy dark day that I illustrated today, some others saw a brilliant, spring day instead. All of them are real, all of them are right. Because when our mind believes something as true, then it is true, no matter what!
