Longtime Exposure Sunset Photography at the Lake

Longtime Exposure Photography is a topic that I like very much since there are so many interesting pictures you can create with it. May it be moving water, car-lights, light trails of stars, "deleting" moving Objects from a Scenery and many more. At Lake Pichlinger I did some longtime exposure Photography in Autumn and with the setting sun behind the lake. The Clouds moving on the sky always create such a beautiful dramatic scene when doing a longtime exposure. I really need to do some longtime exposure photography now when it is warm outside again. Since now I live in the City it is probably a lot easier to do some pictures in the evening because I literally only need to go outside the house door and I can take pictures for example of moving cars, or make some light trails with car lights at the bridge. But also water and clouds are always interesting with longtime exposure photography.

Taking pictures of clouds and water as well as trees like in these pictures will be more interesting in late summer and autumn. Also moving water on waterfalls with leaves in the water usually look better in autumn when there are a lot of colors because of the colorful leaves. But still I prefer summer for taking pictures in the evening, since it is a lot warmer and you don't need to worry so much about your clothes.
