You most certainly are the Crow Lady! Those birds are so clever, they can tell the difference between friend and foe and they memorize faces so I'm not surprised they took to you so fast.
I'm so sorry about the experience with the jump starting although I totally understand your position and I felt my own anxiety rise when your battery dropped low. I'm glad it ended well and they left without asking for more.

The photos as usual are amazing, such cold crows though, shame. That eagle face is quite intimidating.

Thanks @emma-h! I'm glad the battery jump folks turned out to be good people, too. I'm pretty sure I would have vibed them out if they weren't, but still, yeah, I didn't want to end up camping right alongside them. And then whipping out my portable jumper like, look, hehe, I had this all along but no you can't use it!

It's always good to try size the situation up before getting involved too much so I think your course of action was wise.
