Working for the sports department of Sucre, much of the sports I regularly covered were basketball games. Petare, the largest barrio in my city and part of Sucre, had many basketball courts built. This was because basketball courts take up less space and offer the flexibility of functioning even with just one hoop.

This versatility allowed basketball courts to be set up in almost any available space, making them a favorite choice for the municipality's sports department. This adaptability was one of the things I enjoyed most about working there—seeing the result of these unconventional courts.
