That is so true! Especially I see that in the tropical regions where people pay good money to see sunsets and run before the show even begins. I always tell them to stay 15 minutes more and they will get a real show. Once in a while, not, but, for the most part, yes!
I don't think it is oversaturated, I think it is perfect and the colors really popped for me. I frequently tone the saturation down also, especially on flowers. Remember the tulips? It is hard to use their true colors because the eyes are screaming oversaturated! :))

I think it comes down to both personal preference and mood at the time when it comes to working out whether to boost or tone down the saturation on images. I generally try to bring it down a little as I know on my monitors it gives a good color match to what I see but have seen on others computers at work and at family and often find what I see on those shows as more saturated than what I see on my computer
