It's just too small
Most people don't like spiders, but I think they are awesome looking. I am testing out macro photography with my new flash, but I wish that I could get some larger spiders so that I can get a lot more of the detail of the spider in my images.
This spider was probably the size of a water droplet, so I wasn't able to get as much detail as I was hoping for. I want to find a tarantula or something, because then I will be able to get close enough to it with my lens and have it fill up the whole frame, giving me lots of the different little details of the face and the legs.
I shot these images with my Canon 100mm Macro lens at f/11. If I were to have shot at this aperture without the flash, I would have had to crank up the ISO too much. Prior to getting the new flash, I would shoot all of my macro shots wide open to f/2.8. The problem with doing that is that so much of the subject goes out of focus because the depth of field is so shallow.
I took this picture in Poland during Steemfest 3. It was shot at f/2.8 and as you can see, a lot of the spider is out of focus. This spider is also much larger than the other one, so if I were to have had my flash with me for this shot, I think I would have been able to get some really cool pictures of this spider.
Hopefully I am able to find a big spider roaming around my home or yard soon, so I can get some cool shots.
What a cutie :) The second photo looks almost like a skull.
That is what my daughter said too.
Buen enfoque, se muy bien lo dificil que es tratar de fotografiar un in secto mientras se este moviendo, saludos

.Well. I wish you success finding spiders. Last year I had a big black widow living in a saddlebag I made (20mm Ammo can) but he had an accident so I can't help you much.
We've got tarantulas here, but you have to go out at night with a UV light, and there are lots of bad actors at night.
My wife says that we have a black widow nested near the steps leading into the house, but I havent found it yet. I would love to get some shots of it though.

I took this one with my phone while drinking beer. These little mfs like beer way too much, so I snapped them when they were trying to rob me.
You can get a fluffy tarantula to have some nice details to shoot. I find spiders a bit scary, but interesting. Their web making skills are fascinating. Nature does wonders🕸️
I also use external flash nikon sb800. It will make the gear heavy. But it makes shooting macro easy and faster.
I am not a fan of spiders but here in Australia we do have some massive spiders you could almost put them on a bbq and eat them in a burger with a bit of salad just kidding but some mad crazy outback Aussies have done so.
Here is one huge spider i photographed out in the bush with my iPhone not a great photo as i didn't want to get to close he might have had me for lunch...lol 🙀
